I can't believe I only got 1 wrong, and didn't even guess (and I live in Massachusetts, you'd think I'd know where they landed!). Good stuff! 
I missed two - including the one about San Francisco earthquake, where I live!

9/10 Nice job, Interesting questions. Good variety. Of course George Washington and John Adams never spoke by telephone! It wasn't invented yet. They contacted each other by sending e-mails!

I liked this quiz, even though some of the questions were pretty original, it was still fun.
10/10 -- great quiz although the earthquake question should have been more specific as Alaska has had many stronger earthquakes it's just that no one lives there. . . 
Nice quiz. Just a side note for question #1, the Pennsylvania Dutch that I am descended from came from Switzerland, not Germany.
They were German speaking Swiss who left Switzerland for religious and ethical reasons (they were committed pacifists who could not serve in the Swiss army without abandoning the tenets of their faith)
