7/10, I love animals of all types, even the human ones.

That was a good quiz, but I googled civets and they ARE types of cats. Hm, maybe we're talking about two different animals, huh?

I didn't think it was boring. I like animals and I enjoyed it. Also, I thought I knew a lot about animals, but I didn't do very well. So I learned something. Thanks.

Okay, so maybe a panther isn't a type of tiger, but "A panther is a leopard without spots. Leopards live in Africa and Asia." is not actually correct either! The definition of a panther is rather confusing and includes:
"* Panthera, the feline genus which contains lions, tigers, leopards and jaguars
* Panther (in Africa and Asia), the leopard (Panthera pardus)
* Panther (in North America), the cougar or mountain lion (Puma concolor)
o Florida panther, a subspecies of cougar (Puma concolor coryi or Puma concolor couguar) found in southern Florida
* Panther (in South and Central America), the jaguar (Panthera onca)
* Black panther, a black variant of leopard, cougar or jaguar
* White panther, a white or very pale variant of leopard, cougar or jaguar
* Panther (legendary creature), a mythical creature resembling a large multicolored cat"

It is commonly used to refer to the black panther, a melanistic color variant of several species of large cats-most commonly the jaguar, as well as leopards and cougars. So...nyeh!

Civet got me, too, as did the one about the red fox. I didn't think about it long enough. I knew it ate small rodents, etc. But, that's a CARNivore! I forgot an animal can be both. Duh - I am!
Fun quiz, though. Thanks!

Great quiz and explinations. My brain read civet and thought cerval. I don't know why, but it did. -sigh- Ah well. Best quiz ever! Of course, I'm an animal fanatic. -nods- B+ for me, wish it was higher, but ah well. Now I know! I missed #6 and #10, in case anyone is wondering. I've never heard of a ring seal, so yeah. -shrug- Again, great quiz! Loved it! Keep 'em coming!

100%! But question 4 wasn't very good because the scientific name for tiger is Panthera tigris. Also all leopards have spots, but black leopards (panthers) have spots that are slightly darker than the rest of the body. The black jaguar is sometimes called a panther as well.
