8/10...I've been watching Venus dim the last couple of weeks. Love looking at the stars, moon and planets. Almost warm enough to set up the telescope. Great Quiz!

Number 2 all depends on timing. There are several objects that can be brighter than Jupiter at night. Comet McNaught got up to Magnituge -6 in 2007. Iridium Flares frequently get up to magnitudes of -7 or -8. And, depending on where they are in their orbits, Mars easily competes with Jupiter on brightness.
