Great quiz, but easy. Of course, I teach grammar! Also, on #7, both answers really fit. The only clue that the second word is "may" is that "cannot" is one word, and the implication of the space after the blank is that we are looking for two words.
I love these quizzes. I hate effect and affect, I always have to look it up. Did a 50/50 for it on this quiz without looking SO PROUD. Thanks for the great quiz

Good quiz; it really bothers me when people mess up simple things like this, although the worst ones (in my opinion) are it's/its, their/they're/there, and your/you're.
a little too easy for my tastes. Quizzes that are too simply sometimes are pointeless. But this was very different and gave me a little review, particularly about effect and affect. good job ![]()
I got 10/10 right, but still, I have an issue with #9. You're really asking the quiz takers to define "calisthenics" and "yoga" because the sentence, "My mother does both yoga and calisthenics; the latter keeps her weight down while the former helps her relax," is perfectly valid as well.
Not so confusing after all, I got 10 out of 10 and english is not my first language
I'm certain that number two should actually read: "Everyone except my parents *were* delighted..."
Actually, if you look closer, "everyone was" is correct, while "everyone were" is incorrect. ![]()
Thank you so much for this quiz!! I really enjoyed it. Even though I got 10/10, I still had to think about my responses.
