Smuckers may have invented a product called "Goober" that was a mixture of peanut butter and jelly, but long before that, peanuts were knowns as "goober peas" or simply "goobers". I know this is true, because I remember it from my childhood, which goes back considerably earlier than 1968.
I thought that the quiz was great! Some people just like to complain! I got 100%. Maybe because I love peanut butter. Jiff, btw!

I thought goober was a peanut. My husband would have thought Skippy was the #1 seller just because he likes it. He loves chunky. Personally I like smooth but I'll live with it ... well most of the time anyway.
Peanut butter with additives (sugars, too much extra salt, even preservatives and MSG) are obviously bad for you. Peanuts are naturally healthy and so brands that produce 'natural' products should be preferred. Some supermarkets (in New Zealand where I live) will grind peanuts for you, like coffee beans, to make the great peanut butter.
It's my favourite spread for toast (often with mango pickle!) but not good for gout!!!
good quiz. I was taught in grade school that GWT invented pb for his elderly patiences. Well, after all this time no one really knows who thought of it first. Anyway I love pb,especially with bananas. 
I Am Not American! I didn't know that November was peanut butter anything!!! 
I guessed on half of them and got a 100%...question one I only knew because i did a research paper about him.
