#1   Param was amazed to see the beautiful mountainous landscape of this state. He stayed for a few days in the capital city of Dehradun, which is also a popular tourist destination.

#2   The most famous landmark of this state has to be the Taj Mahal in the city of Agra. Param stood transfixed as he was transported back centuries on seeing the beautiful marble structure that stood as a tribute to love.

#3   Param moved on to visit the state whose name translates to "the abode of the clouds". Shillong is the capital of this state. It is also home to Cherrapunji, a Guiness record holder for maximum rainfall in a single year.

#4   Param moved on to the small state in the Eastern region of India, which is considered to be a border sensitive state and has many restrictions for foreigners travelling. An interesting fact though - the game of polo originated here.

#5   The next state on Param's agenda was the land of hills, rivers and lakes. Situated in the eastern side of India, the capital of this state is Aizawl. The Blue Mountain is the largest peak in this state.

#6   Param was now in India's own "land of the rising sun". Another distinction held by this state - it has been a constant matter of dispute between India and China, with both countries laying claim to it. Itanagar is the capital of this state.

#7   Param knew the first thing he had to do in this state was have a cup of tea since this was one of the things this state was most famous for. It also boasts of the Kaziranga and Manas National Parks.

#8   With the capital city as Bhubaneswar, this state is home to the Hirakud Dam, one of the longest dams in the world. Notable temples in this state are the Jagannath temple in Puri and the Konark Sun Temple.

#9   Param's next stop was the city of Ranchi, the capital of the state he was in. This state boasts of some of the most industrially advanced cities like Jamshedpur and Bokaro.

#10   Param's next stop was in the state whose name translates to "36 forts", after the 36 princely states it was once made up of. Most ancient temples in this region have their underlying theme as the empowerment of women.
