Of Legends and Tall TalesIn the past, many stories were told of great deeds and extraordinary people. Some were real and others were great exaggerations. How well do you remember these legends and tall tales? |

Question #5 should actually be "False" because John Henry said he wanted to show that he was BETTER than the "infernal machine." And he did, indeed, do that but it cost him his life.
Question #6 was a "breeze" as there was still one of Mr. Chapman's trees on our farm when I was a child in the 1940's. It was still producing apples too!

Keep it up, guys.
This was a really crummy test.
I do not consider me "legend expert" and I got 100%.
10/10 Beowulf was just made into a movie; more people will know the story after the movie comes out.

Loved this quiz... great topic with broad interest, common sense questions, not too hard. Perfect combination.
