This was fun and mostly easy . I got them all except 5 & 6.
I found a great many, at least seven and I enjoyed this Teaser very much. Will add it to favorites. It was the words that I did not answer correctly that made this Teaser somewhat difficult, not very but somewhat. Excellent work, yet simple to enjoy
Great teaser!!!... i found them quick and easy, but thoroughly enjoyed doing so!!!
Great teaser! I got a few of them before my brain turned off...
Great teaser! I missed "Latin" (duh!), but thought of a few other words that could be made, like "seven" or "stein".
Great 0430 waker-upper!
Great 0430 waker-upper!
I got them all. Yea for me. Good teaser, I enjoyed it. Thanks for posting.
good teaser I liked it
This is one of the first word games I played with my kids almost 50 yrs. ago. Loved it !!! It brought back some memories. Thanks for a great start to a dreary Sat. morning.
Missed "sentinel." Duh. Lots of fun!
Easy peasy! Hey, I have said it before and I say it again...I like easy!

Don't forget about tinsel. "what's a Christmas tree without pretty tinsel?"
Missed: aliens; satin; satine; saltine; valent; etc
"Esne" will also work for "person owned by another."
lukasiwicz, I had not heard of that word before, but upon looking it up, I see what you mean. It did seem more to be a day laborer, or a migrant worker, but I did see where it could also come up as indentured servant, or a domestic slave. I guess the context of the usage of this word would make it fit, or not. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
I don't think Latin can be classified as a "foreign language" unless you speak a language that isn't derived from Latin. That clue should be "Root language."
Nice one, Mr. Fishmed.
Wonder why they (and other Editors) no longer submit teasers for consideration?
New rule we don't know about ?
Would appreciate an answer (HERE !!) from one - or more preferably - of the Editors,
Might it have something to do with where it would appear in the queue*?
*Which, if you think about it (or experience it as we and other submitters do) is not a REAL queue .... more like a 'faux queue'** !!
**(pronounce that aloud) .... hilarious, eh whot ??

Excellent teaser. Some super easy "# between 8 and 10? ", others much more engaging. There's something for everone here. I missed Vital , and responded Alien as my foreign language, since it should be foreign in all nations. But, Latin works much better!
fun, easy and entertaining teaser; got 11/12 but just could not get #8 "lenient".
I got most of them easily, a few I had to think about a little to get the answer. Another good one Fishmed! One the whole family could work on together.
Glad you guys liked it. As to eds submitting teasers, some still do, I do as well, but real life, in many cases keeps me from submitting more than I used to. As to the queue, ours wind up in the same mish/mash as the rest of them.
lots of fun!
it would be better if it had a box to put our answer in instead of yall giving us the answer
