Language brain teasers are those that involve the English language. You need to think about and manipulate words and letters.Language
For each three-word list below, combine the sound of each of the words in the list with that of a prefix to form a new word (using the same prefix for each word). The newly-formed word does not need to retain within it the spelling of the original word, only its sound.
For example, given the words: cycle, plain, and sun, you could prefix "bi" to each word's sound resulting in: bicycle ("bi" + "cycle"), biplane ("bi" + "plain"), and bison ("bi" + "sun") respectively.
1. pain, seed, test
2. side, tracked, way
3. cent, clued, knives
4. apps, optic, tacks
