I counted letters too, looked at tenses, noticed that keyboard was compound and had less than three syllables .... but I knew those couldn't possibly be the reason for elimination, because they were just too trite and just not quite reeking of the usual Braingle cleverness. So I kept looking ... looking ..... and then after pushing through all boundaries, I resisted asking a librarian and lo and behold I heard the cancerous scorpion speak to me about what the chameleon was hiding. No need to bang my head on the keyboard for this one!! |

Posted by dalfamnest on Sep 28, 2009 I chose 'cancerous' because it's the only one without the 'ee' sound. Yes, there are several answers but that doesn't stop it from being a clever and creative teaser. 'Odd one out' puzzles seldom have unique solutions and that adds to the fun. |
