#7   The next state on Param's agenda was unique for two reasons. Situated in the north, this state was carved out of Punjab in 1966. To this day, Punjab and this state share the capital of Chandigarh, which has union territory status.






#8   Param left the best for last. He happily moved on to the state renowned for its lush beaches. This state was ruled by the Portuguese in pre-independence times and exhibits Portuguese influence to this day. Panjim is the capital.
