Language brain teasers are those that involve the English language. You need to think about and manipulate words and letters.Language
A fun game, which I don't know the name of, is to come up with a word, and to think of as many words that you can make from it as possible. For example, the word "Contradistinction" could be made into:
Distinction, tin, is, or ad, if you're taking words from it. But you can use the letters in any order. Therefore you can make:
Contradict, station, satin, antic, etc.
That wouldn't make sense for a teaser. So, basically, we're doing that in reverse, with a small twist.
Clues are provided as to what the words are. Clues are in different formats, but shouldn't be too tough to solve. To try to ensure multiple words won't come to mind, words where the definition or description is given have multiple definitions/descriptions.
After you have figured out what the words are, you have to figure out what the word they were made from (remember, the game I mentioned before..!)
Each letter is only used once in the word (meaning, the word could be "saw," but not "wow.")
If you want to circumvent the whole process of figuring out the words, and skip right to knowing what they are, the "answers" to the clues are given in the hint.
Here are the Clues!
1. Many; Small area of land
2. 909KG
3. A charged atom or molecule
4. Sn
5. Someone off their rocker/lost their marbles; a category of fruit.
6. Dulled, unsharp
7. The weapons of aerial combatants.
