Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
It was a fine day on Sandy Beach. Two friends went for a stroll on the beach to get their toes wet and feel the sand beneath their feet. John and Joe, their names were, and they always went out together somewhere at least once a week.
Anyway, John fell asleep under a palm tree during one of their breaks, leaving two sets of footprints behind him.
When he woke up, he found he was still under a palm tree, but there was only one set of footprints behind him, not two. He understood at once what happened, and got up to join his friend, who was standing a foot away, for coffee and cake. What happened?

Hint
There isn't only one palm tree along the beach, and Joe works out every other day at the local gym for two hours a day.Answer
Joe carried John along the beach, and left him under another palm tree by his house, so when John woke, they could have coffee and cake together (like they usually did).Hide Hint Show Hint Hide Answer Show Answer
