Brain Teasers
Who is the President of the United States?
Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
One beautiful Monday afternoon, Swaff, and his older brother, Abjar, were having a lively conversation about politics. Abjar, being the older of the two, was having fun beating Swaff down with "the facts". To have a bit of fun, Abjar turned to his brother, and asked him a simple question:
"Who is the President of the United States?"
Swaff started to answer, when Abjar cut in:
"Now, tell me an answer that will hold true forever."
Abjar, being gone on vacation to Antarctica for the past decade, did not know of Swaff's coolness. Swaff was so cool, that he came up with an answer easily.
What was Swaff's answer?

Answer
A possible answer could be:The President of the United States is the head of state of the United States. Under the U.S. Constitution, the President is also the chief executive of the federal government and Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces.
Now, he may not have given that exact answer, but he got his point across. The person with the title of President will change over time, but the President's duties will, more or less, stay the same.
