Who Took the Cookies?

Mr. Johnson, a fourth grade teacher at Skyline School, brought four of his favorite cookies to school for his after-school snack. He laid them out on a plate, but before he could eat them he was summoned to the office.

When he returned, the cookies were gone! He went across the hall to Mrs. Tamer's room and asked her if she had seen anyone enter his room. She said she had seen four students, including Bill, but couldn't remember what order they had entered.

Mr. Johnson questioned the students, but the stories were so mixed up he wasn't sure exactly who took what cookie and when. Can you figure it out?

1. Bryan took a cookie sometime after Lewis had been in the room, but before the person who took the oatmeal cookie.

2. A boy was the last person to enter the room, but he did not take the sugar cookie.

3. The peanut butter cookie was taken third.

4. The chocolate chip cookie was taken first, but not by Lewis.

5. Anna is allergic to peanut butter and left it untouched.
