even though that's the only answer i could come up with, i didn't think suicide was considered a crime. i've never heard of anyone being arrested for trying to kill himself. maybe institutionalized, but not arrested. still a good teaser, though.
It's against some statutes. Or, it used to be anyway. Not sure anymore.
i don't know about in america, but in australia suicide used to be punishable by death, but it was repealed a number of years ago...i have a sneaky suspicion that this teaser is somewhat out of date...
I see another answer: overthrowing the government. If you succeed, there's no longer an entity to prosecute you.

My answer was a suicidal assassination attempt. This surely is punishable.
