Brain Teasers
Blackout
Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
Jo was telling Mo about a blackout they had at school that day. She said, "It was the middle of science class and all of a sudden the lights went out. Some people got scared, but most people just started talking about the possibility of going home early. The principal's voice came over the loud speaker and told us not to panic, and that the electricity would come back in no time. After about 45 minutes, the lights came back on. The teacher immediately went back to her lesson about hot and cold water. She took some steaming hot tap water and freezing cold water and added some dye to them--"
Mo interrupted Jo. "Wait a minute! You're lying!"
How did she know?
