Brain Teasers
Giants of Power
We stand as Giants in the land
In hands of glass, power we hold
But that power's not ours, we just stand
For to you the power might be sold
And if the power falls from our hand
You also lose your power, so we're told
What are we?

THE EDITORS CHANGE THE ANSWER AND SCREWED THIS UP. THE CORRECT ANSWER IS HYDRO TOWERS NOT LINES.YOU CAN BLAME THIS ONE ONE OVER ACTIVE EDITORS.
Doesn't hydro mean water?
Water towers! how does that work??
Water towers! how does that work??
it could be hydro-electric towers (dams). OD maybe you should talk to Jake about fixing the answer correctly...
That's OK! I guessed what we call High Tension Stanchions. I agree that it is the towers and not the lines.
I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE SAID HYDRO "ELECTRIC" TOWERS.IN CANADA ; AT LEASE WHERE I'M FROM WE JUST CALL THEM HYDRO TOWERS AND ELECTRICITY HYDRO.THOUGH I GUESS THAT'S AND INCORRECT USE OF THE WORD. THANKS
I've asked Jake to change the answer to "Electricity line towers". You can't have the word "hydro" in there, however, because the towers have nothing to do with water. If the wires come from a windmill or solar power station, for example, then water doesn't come into play at all. Maybe it's how the lines are referred to in Canada, but I think that most other people would be confused about the "hydro" part.
Ya I see what you mean thanks.
Hmm, not a bad one. I guessed windmills or wind turbines. I thought the "giants" idea might be a Don Quixote reference. I didn't think that windmill/turbine fins were glass though, so I doubted it. I thought maybe fiberglass was a possibility, but I don't think they're made of that either. Whatever the case, that was not the answer anyways! :]
