No it doesn't its 999!!!!! Only kidding, However, there are 7 digits in the number. In the UK numbers are usually only 6 digits. So to an Englishman, the fact it was 7 digits long would be correct, would it not??? Plus we don't have 911 it's 999. Thats what i guessed at anyway, the fact it was 7 digits not 6.....ah well!! nice teaser though.
Im sorry when I wrote this riddle I forgot about other countries and what their emergency phone numbers might be.

112 is the international emergency number, IIRC. Using that number would make the teaser work globally, but it would make it harder.
