I come up with 180 several times. Could you or anyone show me where this answer comes from?
The total distance is 180 miles. So he has travelled 175 miles so far.
Oops, forgot the last 5 miles in the puzzle. My bad.
What is he driving? A horse and buggy?
Yay I got it!

Pretty simple in my head. 2/3 x 1/2 x 1/3 x 1/4 = 1/36. So 5 is 1/36 and traveled distance is 5x35=175.

You see kiddies, from Java's answer, that because the numerical fact given is 5 km remainin,g that the easy way to do it is to work on the fraction REMAINING rather rather than the fraction travelled. Voila!
