Yes, but what does the phrase mean?
It's a homophobic slang phrase that can be roughly translated as: "Let's get 'em guys!"
It means nothing of the sort Cakey. Where did you get that from?
I resent the homophobic implication. The phrase actually means to be in a dreamlike state as if in a daydream.

Oh dear. It was supposed to be a joke. Imagine you're sitting in a - let's say - police station... the cops have just brought in some male hookers. One cop turns to another and says: "Away with the faeries!" Would you think the other cop is daydreaming? No, really!? Believe it or not, some words have changed their meaning since 1964. Like lighten and fairy. I wasn't implying that you were homophobic or that you weren't. Lighten up. ;-)
It would have helped if you had put your little ;-) thing after the first comment. It's very hard to convey irony, sarcasm or jokes in a piece of text without them.
I thought it was some type of literary phrase along the lines of Tolkien, C.S. Elliott, Piers Antony and the like, somewhere in the fantasy realm. Never thought any other way. Good puzzle, based on what it was supposed to be.
I thought it was 'Way of the faeries.' I'll explain what that is in case *someone* comes on and asks....the lifestyle of the faeries, also could be another homosexual reference for their lifestyle.
Bad puzzle, bassed on what it wasn't. There's no way I can get a phrase I never heard.
Well Barticus, perhaps you can PM me a list of every phrase you HAVE heard of and I can tailor my teasers accordingly
Another cultural obfuscation. I think we tend to say "off with the pixies" as our form of this little put down.
