I really like this one.
This was a good one. I didn't figure it out but laughed when I saw the answer.
Very clever. I liked this one, and like others, I liked the present, past tense! Thanks
Although my brain was going UP and DOWN with ideas,I couldn't come UP with the answer. A DOWNer for me. Good one.
I was thinking teeter-totter which is what we called it as kids. The clue about present tense, past tense gave it away. Good one
clever and fun!
very nice!
But why does this site have so many annoying cheer-leader comments?
It could save a lot of space if the host could limit such pretentious feedback.
"Great Puzzle!"
Thank You, but we dont need it to be said 50 times, haha

I don't often get riddles, so I was delighted to get this one so easily; present/past tense gave it to me.
Have to agree with darylk's comment. As nice as it is, it gets a little boring to always read complimentary comments. And yes, I realize children are often on this site, but they know about disagreements as well as we do.
But you can't make negative comments on such a good puzzle. If it was a stupid puzzle fair enough.
I was thinking roller-coaster but couldn't fit the tense in
The old brain must not be working today.
Very clever, but too hard for me.

I thought it was a Ferris Wheel, though I couldn't come up past/present tense. I like this one.
I like this one! Used to love see-saws. When I was little, I always wanted to go to this park, where this big see-saw was. Now, I rarely ever see see-saws anymore (that sounded funny ). Lat time I saw one was in 2009, when I was visiting family in Maryland. Got 3 mosquito bites.
Love this teaser! Thanks for bringing back past memories!

really great puzzle!
Very good and clever. I thought of many things that go up and down, but the present and past tense did not fit any of them so I never did think of see saw. Really good one. Thanks.
This is actually a VERY good riddle. I was stumped and kept thinking "Goes up, but at the same time goes down? Really? I have a feeling the answer is going to be inaccurate and lame." I was wrong. Plus I was convinced that it couldn't be a noun, because of the past/present tense thing. Again wrong. Very tricky, very clever. Beautiful.
I kept thinking roller coaster, although it didn't really fit. Very nice and clever teaser!
Interesting teaser. Very good one. Stumped me but I finally figured it out.
Here's the daily ....
Now it's been ELEVEN days without a new teaser approved and posted.
We (I and BB02) have several "awaiting" (in the queue which is NOT a 'queue') and one that has FOUR approved votes, but no action.
WHAT are the editors doing? All we can tell you is that a couple of them have not "signed on" in several weeks. One for over 50 days and another for over 14.
We think Braingle is suffering from 'editor shock'. What do you think?

This is a great riddle. I was all set to say it was too easy, and how are "teeter" and "totter" past and present tenses of a single verb? Turns out my answer was close, but wrong. I really like this riddle!
I thought this was a great riddle also. It had me stumped for awhile, but I finally figured it out with the past and present tense line.
Fun, easy and entertaining teaser; I got this one very quickly.
