cute!
Nice! I liked it and it made me smile. Easy enough for me to get yet challenging enough to wake up my brain. Thanks.
I think when a person says dumb, they either are bent because they didn't get it, or that it was accepted by the editors and theirs wasn't.
Not one of my favorites, but I like the logic puzzle ones best. GOOD JOB

Just because a teaser is easy doesn't mean it is dumb. I may have found this one easy but I still enjoyed it.

Cute. But the word "jelly" is misleading; I don't think of jelly as a dessert. "Jello" would work better.
Jelly goes on sandwiches, it's not really a dessert ;)
Jelly is not a desert, had troble with this one had to look at the answer.
jelly in england is what they call jello.
jam is their word for what americans call jelly
australia too
I thought that this one was cute, not too hard, not too easy, really cute. thanks Snaps

It was incredibly easy, but, since it talked about desserts, my favorite part of any meal, it was very fun.

Nicely done !!!
I liked it and thought it was cute!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if you thought it was dumb then that is your opiinion. I get yelled at for my opinions too, but do not respond to them. I just let them think they really told me off and I get a good laugh at their indignation. OOPs! They are going to give it to me again. Ho Hum!

Good sense of humor, Babe! I got this one and it sums up MY feelings, too! I could live on just desserts!

And ....
The teaser was GREAT, GREAT, GREAT.
Creative AND challenging.
Snaps was a magnificent contributor. Please go back and read ALL his stuff.
He was a contemporary of my Dad's (original BadBunnee) and they often swapped ideas.

Great teaser. And great example of the purely "text" Rebus.
Purely "text" because there are no "visual" clues to be deciphered by the "eye of the mind".
One problem - we think - with Rebuses of this type (and, often, with the more "visual" ones also) is that they are sometimes what Dad called ....
"pun-flavoured" Rebuses.
e.g. legitimate Rebuses but with some "pun" connotations.
Puns being defined as a "play on words".
"fair ice cream" (and the other phrases, here) play around with mixing seemingly inappropriate words into seemingly enigmatic phrases.
Thus the "pun-flavoured" Rebus.
"fair ice cream" makes little sense unless you exercise some lateral thinking (intuitive leaps) to discern possible answers.
To sam9874, CIAguy247, boakley2, and Babe.
Nobody here is attacking your right to hold (and express) an "opinion".
We are, perhaps, pointing out that ignorance of the true nature (and definitions) of Rebuses and Puns will often cause one to use the term "dumb" as more handy reference.
But don't worry about it. You have good company. Braingle's editors consistently reject worthy Rebuses because of (in their wisdom) the possibility of too much "pun flavour" and - of course - their fear of too much "dumb" - "dumb" response by members or, perhaps, just lack of sufficient knowledge of Rebus construction and challenge.
