Brain Teasers
Wrong Number
Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
A man dialed the wrong number, and as a result, his friend died. How is this possible?
Answer
The man was visiting the USA from England. His friend was having a heart attack and he mistakenly kept trying to dial 999, the British number for help instead of 911, the USA number. By the time he realised, it was too late.Hide Answer Show Answer

wow, igve the author a break.
yes, it COULD be anywhere, but you were given the US and Britain, which is an acceptable solution. I'm sure if you picked any two countries and the same SITUATION as your solution (since it's called a situation teaser) then you should just consider yourself correct rather than comment against the author. I'm sure s/he is smart enough to know it could be any two countries, too
