Why would someone get the time from someone else if they have a watch to look at?
This small modification makes it more of a logic puzzle:
A man didn't have any radios or TVs and his clock *needed to be reset*, so he drove over to his friend's house and got the time. Without knowing how long it takes to get to his friend's house he put the correct time on his clock when he got home. How?
Answer: Before leaving for his friend's house, he set his clock to twelve o'clock. When he returned, he noted the time on his clock, then set his clock to the time obtained from his friend's clock *plus half the time that had elapsed since he left.*

supermew30: bec. his watch was messed up, too!
His clock stopped workking ... He put the correct time on his clock ... I thought the clock was broken? I like the answer he times himself to the friends house and back
The watch answer is stupid... you might as well say he set his clock in his car.. haven't seen a car lately without one... I like the idea you set your clock before you leave.. but just because it takes you a certain amount of time to get to a place doesn't mean that it will take you the same amount of time to get back.
here is a correct answer... he drove to his friends house got the weather and found out when day break was... he waited until day break came and set his clock
How about his friend didn't have a clock either so when he got home he set his clock randomly and by chance it happened to be the right time.
