Arthur lived with his parents and one day they left and a friend came over. The friend quickly left to buy some cigarettes. While she was gone, two men came in and stole the TV, the stereo, and all of the valuables. The men paid no attention to Arthur and Arthur paid no attention to the men. Why not?

My first answer was that Arthur left with his parents.

what a terrible babysitter...
Why would the friend (who I assume is an adult) leave a baby unattended? Not very nice. Also, since the friend was buying cigarettes, did she intend to smoke them in front of the baby? What an irresponsible friend this is.
A more responsible answer could be that Arthur was deaf and blind and the two men knew he was because he was reading Braille and had a stick next to him. But even in this case - more clues were needed.

Oops...I mean more REASONABLE, not responsible...
It makes no sense at all, no adult person in their right mind would leave a one year old child in the house alone to go buy cigs. I was thinking the men were moving men 
I said arthur was a dog,then quickly changed my answer to a fish.

Chill out people! It's not real life - only a teaser!!!
It was a good teaser but how would the menhave got in unless the front door was open and if they smashed the window open the baby would start crying but it said the babypaid no attention
.... he went to buy cigarettes leaving the baby in the house all alone. what was he gonna do? smoke in the house? and why would a robber even come into a house when someone is already there? even if they saw a baby, the baby's parents or caretaker could be in the bathroom.
Rats... I thought Arthur was 11 months. 
This is ridiculous. A one year old would be distraught if left alone so would look to the robbers for comfort as they are the only people present. Also, just because they are robbers does not mean they wouldn't be concerned that a baby was left alone.
How about "Arthur died after she left"? I did get the answer though, eventually.
