Five employees of varying ages have been assembled to work on a project due to their varying backgrounds. Three men (Jason, Corey and Matt) and two women (Carly and Stephanie) are meeting for the first time and getting to know each other. They vary in ages from 18-45 and are from all over the country. Each person is either wearing a scarf or necktie in their favorite color. You job is to figure out the age, favorite color and hometown of each employee.

4. Carly likes to wear Yellow.
5. The San Diego native dislikes Green.

Wow! That was really hard. I almost had it, but I messed up on one part , which screwed everything up.
nicely done! i really liked this teaser...it was a little tricky towards the end..i couldn't figure out where Jason was from..and i thought the clue relating to his hometown baseball team was just made up..til i thought about it and realized that the St. Louis Cardinals ARE red..so yeah..took a guess that that's what you were referring to and it turns out i was right! hehe some of the clues are a little repetitive..like you don't need clue 5 because of clue 7..other than that..it was really well put together and i enjoyed it..keep up the good work and submit more teasers!
Thanks for the kind words. This is the first logic-grid I submitted. I have another one which is waiting for approval which I think might be a little harder.
Good Job on this one. I'm a huge fan of logic-grid teasers and this is going into my favorites! I love the personal touches. I almost got stumped, then realized you didn't put the ages in numerical order in the grid. Way to keep me on my toes!!
Wow, that was hard. I messed up twice.
Man, I keep messing this one up.
I'm going to try again.
This site is too much fun.
I'm going to try again.
This site is too much fun.
Enjoyed teaser very much but couldn't complete where Jason and Carly were from. If the clue was the base ball one then i must be at a disadvantage living in the UK and knowing nothing about colours of baseball shirts?!
Your are exactly right. The comment about Jason's hometown baseball team refers to the St. Louis Cardinals, who as their name suggests, have red uniforms. I was going to put a link to cbs.sportsline.com in the hint to direct people to a sports homepage where they could have found out the team's, guess I should have.
That was a great teaser! Being an avid baseball fan I had no problem with that clue. Good Job
Thanks. I have another one pending which I think is harder and has some nice baseball references. I am a sports fanatic so those will be prevalent in my teasers.
that was the best logic-grid teaser i have seen yet. can't believe it was your first try at it. very well done, keep it up!

apart from the baseball catching me out (ignorant Brit I'm afraid!), this was fun, thanks

I really liked this one because it wasn't horribly hard but it was fun. I couldn't think of where Matt or Corey were though . Finally had to look at the answers. I'm not that good at these but they're fun!
i just didnt know what the color of ms. piggy's thing was
heheh.. me neither.. ^^'
I liked the teaser. Me being in St. Louis I knew that the St. Louis Cardinals were red but I had to go to MLB.com to check to make sure that no other team was red. LOL. Diff. problem with the baseball one. I had a feeling they were the only red team but I didn't know so I had to check that. Other than that I had no problems. And go Kermit the Frog! LOL. Once again good job on making a good logic grid.
This one was hard! But it was really good, and I really liked it. I got it in the end, but after a LONG time.
good teaser. It really had me thinking. There were only 2 problems I could find with this puzzle (lucky for me I knew the answers to those clues). If one is not up on baseball they may not know that the St Louis team is the Cardinals and they red. AND the muppets/sesame street may not be a world wide broadcast, so some may not know that Kermit the Frog (green) was the object of Ms. Piggy's affection. Other than that, great job! I'll be looking for more!
A bit easy, but very fun. I had to use my baseball knowledge to solve it which made me feel special. Good job and thanks for the teaser!
Good puzzle.
But please remember, this is the World Wide Web, non US citizens outnumber US citizens by about 20 to 1, I wonder how many people like me, had to Google to find out what colour the various cities baseball teams use? You should be able to work out a logic grid from the clues without resorting to outside research. I think miss Piggy and Kermit are known just about world wide.
Other than that, thanks for your effort and it must feel wonderful to know your puzzle is still absorbing people 10 years after it was published.
