Brain Teasers
Spring Break
Logic-Grid
Logic Grid puzzles come with a handy interactive grid that will help you solve the puzzle based on the given clues.Logic-Grid
Mike Jones, a travel agent at the Bon Voyage travel agency, was mildly surprised when five college students stopped by his office last Saturday morning, since each booked his spring-break trip months ahead of time. Each student came into the store at a different time and booked a trip to a different destination via a different mode of transportation.
From the information provided, can you determine the time in the morning at which each student stopped by, as well as the destination and mode of transportation each chose?
1. Taylor came into the office at some point after the student who booked the trip to Miami. The student who booked a train ticket came in at 11:00 a.m.
2. The student who came in at 9:00 a.m. (who isn't the one named Allen) booked the trip to Washington D.C.
3. Brian (who booked a rental car) came in exactly 30 minutes after Paul (who booked a trip to Orlando).
4. The student who booked a trip to the Virgin Islands via sailboat is not the one who came in at 10:30 a.m.
5. Dennis is not the one who booked a bus reservation.

it was really confusing
Got it, but only after jumping through some mental hoops. Good grid.
Took long enough...
Well done!
Well done!
This one made me work a bit, and I really enjoyed it!
Wow, was this one a stretch! Had to try it a few times, and still got only one answer correct. Good one!
hard but good, even tho i didn't get it
Took me awhile, but I did it.
Wow! I worked hard on this one..it made my brain get up and dance!
took three days off and on...but was a lot of fun! And more important, I got it right!!!
You don't have enough Info on this on you are missing some parts
where does the airplane come into play?
Great one. Took a while to get, which is a sign of a great logic grid. Kudos
You made me pull out the heavy-duty thinking cap for this grid. kinda reminded me of something on a math final with only 5 minutes left. Had to do a LOT of outside thinking. I still enjoyed this!!
Very good one! Took me a while and a lot of thinking, but eventually got it. Might have been hard but, it did get a 2.7 rating in difficulty. Good job.
Harder than most, and lots of fun
I agree with mdot. Not only airplane is missing from the clues, but so is New Orleans. And the 30 minutes after could have been 11:30 or 120.
only took 10 min. That one was fun!!
that only took me about 15 minutes. i guessed at the end, and only had 2 people mixed up. this one is fun!
Best Logic Grid that I've tried so far!
Great puzzel!
Took a few minutes, but I finally got it! You sure don't want to misread a clue, or you're history
I wish there were a lot more like this one!

Really great one! Congrats! Clue # is the one that can throw you off. If you assume that Taylor isn't the person who booked the train ticket at 110 am, that is. Which is what i did the first time around. Caught it the 2nd time though. Excellent job!
Good Job, had to kick in all 3 remaining brain cells on this one...
f-u-n
That was fun.. another that I had to drag out a paper to do... what's up with me??
good one . easy if you use logic
A nice slippery one. And to answer the comments above: no, it isn't broken - everything can be deduced logically (definitely takes a little grid-gazing though).
How did you get New Orlenes as answer?
Anyone who said they figured it out as the teaser was written in full of it.
Where's New Orleans..Where's the airplane.
Explain that and I will apoligize

New Orleans and airplane are on the GRID! Yes, I realize that some people don't use the grid, but really, if you don't at least open to check for missing info, then it's your mistake, not necessarily a bad puzzle.
I thought this was a great teaser. Just the right amount of "think" involved for my taste. For future reference though, if you want to avoid the comments on "where's the info?", be sure to include a list of all categories in the intro.

Clue #1 was confusing. I had to look at the answer to find the correct solution. The answer shows that Taylor is actually the one who bought the train ticket at 110. The way I read the clue it seemed that the train wasn't an option for Taylor. I don't know if it needs to be worded differently or separated. Otherwise, it was good teaser.
Really good teaser! I always like the ones that take awhile to figure out but are actually solvable by us mere mortals!!!
it was way too hard for me i'm have to come back to this one

Great teaser! A little easy but I think that is because I am well rested right now. I solved it based on pure logic and made no assumptions. Good job!
