Brain Teasers
Two Arms and a Back
I have two arms and a back,
Supported by four legs.
But there is something I do lack,
Actually, I have no eyes to see.
I also cannot move around,
Or at least, not on my own.
Unfortunately I can make no sound,
Except perhaps a squeak.
If you chop off my head,
You are left with a hair.
If you chop off my tail,
Only tea is left there.
One more clue I will add,
Is that you often use me.
Yet you barely ever notice,
In fact I'd much rather be a tree.
What am I?

Got the answer! The only line that confused me was cutting off the tail (I don't drink tea). Nicely done!
good one! you stumped me. not like that's hard to do, these days.... jk.
nice one, the chair was easy but couldn't figure out the tea.
Very good teaser.
Thanks for the great comments.
Kinda easy, but fun! I didn't get the tea, since I don't drink tea, but the rest was great! Good job!
that was easy but good!
This one was nice and fun.
Never heard of chai, but great

too EZ
Way too long a poem (but very nicely constructed) It only needs one or two verses to guarantee getting this one right.
Right away it was a chair. The tea took some thinkology. Without that it would have been too easy.
Got the chair part straight away then got mixed up at the next bit & thought it might be seat backwards
Easy, but nice!
It was too easy and not very creative.
That was really easy, but I thank you for posting it since they're usually not easy enough for me to figure out! I almost started to second guess myself when I saw the "cut off my head and tail" part
Easy! Good though.
Loved it, very cute....didn't get the answer though
I was close, I guessed table.
i got it in the first vers. but the tea thing confused me.... ....maybe i can blame it on......oo i know, the fact that i don't drink tea!! yea, that is a good excuse!!
I love chai! Yum! You all should try it!
Easy , but super clever!!
Easy , but super clever!!
I liked it, & wasnt that easy cuz the tea thing threw me of for a while...thank God for seach engines. I had no idea what chai was.
this was cool. i didnt realize that it could be a chair. i was way off. i thought it was like a plant or sometin.
Yeah, the "head" and "tail" verse really had me doubting myself. Made it more fun that way.
EXCELLENT !!! I GOT IT!!! The hair tea thing got me, but when I read the answer, it made sense.
A fun one!
A fun one!
Finally got one! Very Creative!@
Very good job...Clever, and it "stumped" me! (haha, no pun intended)
YAY! two in a row! im on a roll (Im only in middle school) i think that was very clever because the tea thing could really stump people but i didn't get it so i just still thought it was a chair and not pay attention to the tea stuff!
good job
good!!1
I guessed correctly! But I didn't understand the tea part. I guess it's because I'm not all that familier with teas.
I got it in the first line or two. Very easy!
I got it immediately....and immediately decided that I was wrong. Didn't put together the hair or chai at all....and thought I was so dumb to pick the 'obvious' chair...and not the 'right' answer. Loved it!
new to this, I liked it, made you think outside the box
I liked it, but by the second line, i knew the answer.
I liked it, but by the second line, i knew the answer.
I was thinking of a walking stick!
i knew the amswer, even though i didn't get the head and tail part
Thanks, I'm glad you guys liked it, it's one of my easier ones, but i had fun writing the riddle
It was easy, but very clever and creative! Great job!
loved it! took me almost 3 minutes to get the tea part,,,,good job!
I too diddn't get the tea part - I should have thoug - there's nowt I like better than a nice cuppa char
i got it except i couldn't figure out the tea and hair part.
Chai Tea!!! Very Clever!

JUST ABOUT THE BEST BRAINGLE I HAVE SEEN YET!!!!!!!!!!
it's easy but a lot of fun.

Another good one for this same answer is straight out of Golden Eye (James Bond movie):
Boris: You sit on it, but you can't take it with you.
......
Natalia: What other name do you call your bottom?...... He plays word games. It's what you sit on, but you can't take it with you....
Bond: chair.
(always got the answer doesn't he?)

Like others, I couldn't get the "chopped off parts", but the rest of the teaser fit the answer "chair" so well that I decided to go with it anyway.
I didn't get the tea and hair parts either but figured it must be a chair. Fun teaser!
Fun but easy
got it-fun
Explanation;
Chop off the head= Remove the C and you have hair.
Chop off the tail= Remove the R and you have chai.
Hope this helps.

i thought it was a wooden rocking horse. for "chop off my head" i thought it was literally and you'd still have the tail, but i got stuck on the "chop off the tail" part cuz i dont drink tea! great job!
NICE1!!!
I had "chair" all along until you started chopping off pieces! I kept picturing the "thing," not the word, so I didn't get that part. And I LOVE Chai Tea!!!
Very clever!
Very clever!
Great teaser!
Great teaser!
It only took two lines on this one! Chair was so very obvious that I thought i must be wrong! I was not. Easy and I lke easy!
Sorry! I forgot to mention that my kitchen chairs do not have arms. That could have been a boo boo to the whole idea. It should have said,"Some of us have arms, while others do not!." Oh well, most people still got it!
I loved this one - thanks for posting!
Like Babe, I had it by the 2nd line but also thought there may be a twist to it. Two of the four chairs in our kitchen nd two of the ten in the dining room, do not have arms but the two chairs that sit and the ends of either table are all "Captain's Chairs" and therefore have them. Still an enjoyable teaser, even if a bit easy.
I liked a simple one this morning-
I would have gotten the chai tea if I hadn't thought I was to still leave off the 'c' (head).....duh! Had it, regardless!

Well written, but extremely easy.
overly long as 1st stanza gave it to me. However, is clever and that much skill at poeterizing (my own new word LOL ) is to be admired. I alway credit that which is beyond my skills/patience levels
A good one but an easy one Odd rhyme scheme, I must say... ABAC DEDF GHIH JKLK?
a little too easy
Well written, but ezy pezy; 2 many clues!
I'm shocked at all the praising comments on this one. I thought is was pretty obvious after just the first paragraph. In fact, I was surprised to scroll down my screen and see there was more. I don't like to bash the teasers, but to me, this one was just way too easy. I think the scores reflect that, too.
Easy teasy. The first two lines made the answer evident.
Beyond that this is a very quirky and interesting riddle. I have not seen the pattern where lines 1 and 3 rhyme in the first two stanzas, but lines 2 and 4 rhyme in the last two stanzas. I liked the third stanza. That could have stood alone as an interesting and more challenging teaser.
Sometimes the merit of a teaser is not the mental challenge of solving it, but it is an appreciation of the work that went into crafting it.

Fun and easy teaser; I got this one very quickly.
How do you know the chair would rather be a tree?
I got it just by reading the first couple of lines. A little bit too easy. Would be a good one for the kiddos, though.
