Good rebus.
However, the story of Romeo and Juliet predates Shakespeare. Like many of his plays, he took an Italian play and rewrote it in English.

Barticus, I'm glad you liked it.
But, Barticus, which version of the story lives on & is written so beautifully?
It seems so simple when you see the answer! Very nice teaser! Clever and cute!
Thank you for stopping by my teaser and I'm glad you liked it.
GebbieRose, Shakespeare wrote in the early days printing. His version is the oldest surviving English version of most of his plays, so those are remembered. He was great in his time, but he's hardly an all time great.
couldn't you have made the answer a little longer, I was just getting into it.
