Great one
Took me a while, but I got it!! Good one!!
I don't have enough patience to get good at teasers like this one.
I missed it. But I was on the right track. Again I was needing to hurry . I was trying to fit locks in there. Oh Well, another good one.
Neat teaser. It also took me a while, but I did get it. More please.
Good one...
I liked it. Very clever. I was going in a completely opposite direction but eventually I got it.
TRICKY!
That was REALLY good! I didn't get it, waaaaaa!!! But, that's OK, I don't know if I would've thought of "cells" in a million years, well, maybe a million years... Thanks, good one!
Too difficult for me
Very tricky! I like that! Never guessed it though. I guess it's too early in the morn. (good excuse,eh?)

I didn't get it! It was a great one, though. Keep up the great work!
tough one for me - couldn't get it, but loved it after I saw the answer
I was thinking: "oversees cells" and "sells overseas," but that doesn't quite fit clue, since 1st and 4th are supposed to be the same word.
?????? WO BUDONG
cell, sell are not homonyms
Loved it! I didn't get it, but I loved it after I looked up the answer
I hadn't done a teaser like this before so didn't quite get it initially, but it was fantastic. I'll be watching for more.
hom·o·nym (hm-nm, hm-)
NOUN:
1. One of two or more words that have the same sound and often the same spelling but differ in meaning, such as bank (embankment) and bank (place where money is kept).

Got it after a few minutes of scratching my head! A nice one.
How about: A jailer bars cells and a jeweller sells bars? (In that part of the world where I live, 'jeweller' is spelt with a double 'l' and 'bar' also stands for a gold or silver bar!

missed it but liked it
Very clever, you got me. Thanks for posting.
For some reason the answer just popped into my head. Way fun.
Very nice for a Sunday morning!!!
An old chestnut. It's like posting the one about "what's black and white and re(a)d all over".
Properly "cell" and "sell" are homophones not homonyms, but that use of homonym is common. I don't like the example of "bank", since they both come from the same word meaning table. A better example of a homonym is "rose" (flower and past tense of "rise").
I thought it might have been locks cells and sells locks but then it should have been a hardware store intead of a jeweler.
A truly good one! I like working the brain!!
I was trying to find one where the 2nd and 3rd word were homonyms of the 1st and 4th word!
This would work if the clue was:
A jailer _ _, and a boatman _ _.
The answer's below
(just replace each letter with the next letter of the alphabet in knbjr to get the answer!)

@thedavincigame,
A jailer locks rows, and a boatman rows locks?

i didnt understand it!
This was a good one! I liked it - thanks for posting!
I like this teaser too. How about "rings" instead of "watches" i.e. a jailer (or guard) "rings" the bell in the prison?
Thanks, that got the old grey matter working, although I was thinking of homonyms, not homophones as they turned out to be! Thought that was what you meant, either way it was fun!
At first I thought this was locks, but that really didn't work with jeweler. Finally figured it out though. Good one kiss!
Wonderful. Top notch. Clever and fun to solve. I like it, a lot.
I don't like the misuse of "same" and "homonym". The 1st and 4th are actually homonyms, while the 2nd and 3rd are homophones. This makes the clue misleading.
Very clever! A good morning exercise to wake up the brain. It took me a few minutes, but I finally got it. I appreciate the grammar lesson I got from other Brainglers about homophones -vs- homonyms. You learn something new every day!
Fun, easy and entertaining teaser; I got all of the words very quickly.
