I Stayed On Venus
Mr. C. was telling a story to his class. '' We sent a robot probe to Venus. Recently, it sent back data that it found an odd solution on the planet. It is an aqueous solution, with a solute of salt. What is your response to this?'' One student responded '' Mr. C., either you're misinformed, or we need to fix that probe.''
Why did the student say this?
Why did the student say this?
Answer
The student knew that there could not have been an aqueous solution on Venus. An aqueous solution has a solvent of water. Liquid water is not found on Venus, only on Earth.Hide Answer Show Answer

Thats a good one had to think about it, thanks and keep them coming
All I could guess was that, unbeknownst to the scientists, the probe had crashed in the ocean.(the earth's)
I thought the air pressure on Venus would be too great, even for a robot. Shouldn't it have been crushed? Maybe I have the wrong planet...hmmm... Great teaser though - I learned something new today .
Lets just pretend that it's not going to get crushed.
Because venus is far to hot to have liquid water!
easy :-/
easy :-)
I'd better check the dictionary.
I guessed that from the start, but thought that that would be too easy. I thought that some scientist's sweat had contaminated the robot?
Easy, even for me!
