### Solve a Puzzle

I got it. Great teaser.

That was fun - thanks

I got this through process of elimination. Couldn't think of any other way to do it.

I did this through the process of elimination. It was really fun. I love these types of puzzles.

You don't need the first two clues.

Rearranging clues 3 & 5 gives:

H = B - C

E = B + C

E = H + 2C

The sequence H, B, E counts up by C. There are only two possible assignments for C, H, B, & E:

2, 16, 18, 20

10, 6, 16, 26

From clue 6 there is one assignment for G & A for each of the above assignments, each of which leave the only remaining value for D:

10, 12 (D = 26)

2, 12 (D = 20)

From clue 4 we see that E > D, so D can't be 26. This gives leaves only one choice for each letter and is all that's needed to get the answer.
