The Centaur, an ancient Greek mythological creature, is believed to be half-human and half-horse. A centaur is typically depicted with a horse's body and a human torso.
It is believed that the mythology behind this creature could be attributed to the way humans viewed the first human beings who rode horses.

Excellent! Or am I saying this only because I GOT IT? KUTGW
Thanks y'all I am glad you liked it!
very nice
I actually got it!! *runs about in glee*
I love these ones! good job!
Unscrambling letters is not my forte. This one was hard for me.
Great Teaser! ** Love those Greek Creatures **
Fun...but a little too easy. Love the Greek Mythology theme, though! Maybe next time, the scrambled words could be mythological creatures too!
very.nice i do like unscramble word teasers
Nice but easy for an anagram lover like me.
I haven't actually sat down and tried to solve a daily teaser for months, so I'm very happy that I got this one! Yay!
I thought, well, for MOI, it was just right, hard-wise. I like the idea of the scrambled words being all one theme, maybe the same theme as the answer, maybe not. I wasn't sure at first if they did have a theme or not, maybe it could say that in the instructions.
But a fun, good, and well-done teaser, Brainster, thank you so much!

OMG! This teaser just fell into place, for an old crossword and anagram fanatic as myself! Keep going! Just make a few a little tougher for me...lol All in ALL, keep going!
From the Devil's Dictionary: Centaur: a race of persons who lived before the division of labor had been carried to such a pitch of differentiation, and who followed the primitive economic maxim, "Every man his own horse." The best of the lot was Chiron, who to the wisdom and virtues of the horse added the fleetness of man.
Nice teaser. Well done.

I usually love language-themed teasers. They're generally my forte. But I couldn't get 'access', ergo, I couldn't get the answer. Also, I was on the wrong trail; the word creatures did not penetrate my thick, before-coffee, skull. I was thinking characters, like gods & goddesses, so I was never going to get centaur!
Pleasantly easy, but fun.
ridiculous as it sounds, I was able to unscramble each clue, and the creature I came up with was 'CENTURA'!
Pretty sad that I was that close to getting it right and still couldn't see it. And I know what a centaur is. Let's do Griffin or a Hydra next time.

Loved this one took all of 1 1/2 mins... mythology I love, scrambled words I love so right `up my street` LOL tyvm...
Fun one, though too easy. One harder scramble (like "access") or less of a title clue (like maybe just "Ancient Greece" or "Greek Mythology") would have made it perfect.
I loved this one! I usually don't take the time to do the anagrams, but I really enjoyed this one. Not too difficult, but still required some thought and a little time to figure out. Nicely done!
A horse is a horse of course of course, but a centaur is a horseman! Ha...
Excellent teaser. Love these ones! Two thumbs waaaay up! Keep em coming
Good Job - Great teaser
I guess this teaser was either easy or difficult. Unfortunatly I fall into the later catagory. I was total stumped. Good job, I guess.
Although this one was not difficult, these are my favorite.
I like to time myself on scramble and see if I can do it without pen and paper. Makes it more challenging.
Years ago my mother and father and I used to compete with each other on Sunday mornings to see who could do the newspaper jumble the fastest. Brings back some memories.
Thanks

The first part was simple enough but unscrambling the final word was not. I came up with uncrate which also uses all the correct letters.
I got it but thought I was wrong but I was right even though I thought I was wrong I was right,

I didn't even look at the title so my answer was "truance". First rule...read everything! Still fun!
I'm a sagitarius, so I got centaur pretty easy. I love these kinds of teasers. Great job!
Loved this - loved Greek Mythology so made it pretty easy for me. More, please Brainster?
Thank you for all your wonderful comments and encouragement everyone! I am glad you enjoyed it.
Yay! Fun, but perhaps it's just that today's a good day for me with anagrams. Some days are definitely not -- in fact, the first few times I sat down to do this teaser, I started with SECASC and couldn't come up with anything out of it!!!! Today it came easily, somehow.
For the final answer, I had the Sagittarius advantage too. Wheeee!!
