Cool.
pretty good
Never heard of the wading bird, but got it anyway.
awesome, but i used a dictionary for the bird to ind it all out. but good thinkin!
Never heard of a rail so I did not get it, and a lair according to the dictionary is for wild animals only so that did not penetrate this old mind. Good one though.
easy, but excellent.
Thanks for starting my day off nicely!

Got liar and worked it out from there.
I got liar and lair and then reverse engineered to get rail, which I've never heard of.
Not many people have heard that definition of "rail." Turns out it's a whole family of wading birds rather than a single species, and I thought they looked more similar to ducks than cranes.
Clever and interesting teaser. I like the original format. Like everyone else, I was not familiar with "rail", but the puzzle could be solved regardless. And I learned something new. All good!
Ditto to what Snowdog said. Looking forward to more of this type of puzzle.
I got the last two, but I've never heard of a bird called a rail. I still enjoyed the teaser though!
Fun and entertaining teaser. Never heard of the word rail being used for a bird. I got all the words anyway though.
