Riddle
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.Riddle
Angelic food to folk I often dispense,
While sounds majestic fill attentive ears,
Yet neither voice have I nor tongue for speech.
In brave equipment of two wings I shine,
But wings without any skill to fly:
One foot I have to stand, but not a foot to go.
While sounds majestic fill attentive ears,
Yet neither voice have I nor tongue for speech.
In brave equipment of two wings I shine,
But wings without any skill to fly:
One foot I have to stand, but not a foot to go.
Answer
An Eagle Lectern.A Lectern is used to support the Bible in a church and has been used for centuries. It is what the reader/priest stands behind when reading the Word. The concept of the eagle lectern is symbolic for taking the Word of God, or the sermon high into the heavens for all to hear. The eagle is also the symbol of St. John the Evangelist.

what is the answer? i have never heard of it
I've never heard of the answer either.
wow...really good! That was tricky. Now I know the name of those stands on the altar!
what the heck is that?
Basically a lectern is a book stand that holds the bible in a church. The priest/minister/reader also stands behind it when reading or preaching. They have many shapes and designs, but one of the comon ones have the shape of an eagles head at the top of the stand and its outstretched wings support the book. Hopefully that helps.
