Menacing Matchsticks
Trick
Trick brain teasers appear difficult at first, but they have a trick that makes them really easy.Trick
Take seven matchsticks and arrange them on a table to make two adjacent squares of the same size. The matchsticks should look like the number 8.
Now, moving only two matchsticks, can you make....200?
You cannot:
Stack the matchsticks.
Bend or break the matchsticks.
Remove the matchsticks.

Hint
What AM I asking you to make?Look carefully ....
Answer
Assuming that the matchsticks are upright (forming an 8), take the upper-right match and place it horizontally above the 8.Next, take the match on the lower-left of what now looks like a 6, and place it vertically just above the match you last put down.
What you should have is 1/5, or .200 . Ellipses only consist of three points, not four. In other words, I asked you for .200, not 200.

Great teaser! Would make a really cool bar trick...
Very good! And, I bet you can create some tougher ones, yet! Keep them coming!
That is a REAL trick...
Sneaky! VERY sneaky!! But fun
Great teaser!
Awesome. I never would have thought about that...Although I did think that the four dots was kind of weird. ~_^
Very GOOD
Wow I thought that was just a small mistake that no one noticed...that was AWSOME! The idea of using a detail that is hard to see is good to begin with, but then making it something that seems unrelated, like just a simple error, is incredible! Keep up the great work!
Okay, that wasn't fair... there was no space between those dots!
I was working on making Roman numeral CC, but of course that darn 7th match stick was a problem!

great teaser! I didn't get the .200, so I tried to make the number 200, and could have done it in only two moves if I would have had one more matchstick.
very hard...very hard...but i figured it out!! keep them coming
It confused the hell out of me lol
Very Clever Should I say!
Keep it up
Keep it up
i thought you meant to put the boxes side by side and remove the two right match stick to create cc which is roman numeral 200
but your way was cool too.
but your way was cool too.
you would need eight matchsticks to do that.
I was thinking roman numerals as well. Well and truely tricked!
Arhhhh
Good one
I get it
I am looking foward to harder ones yet
Thanks

And we're supposed to know that you MEANT to put four? Maybe you made a mistake! Are we supposed to count your every typed character???
thats why its a trick
wonderful
i din't get it tho
maybe if u put a space in front of the .200?

maybe if u put a space in front of the .200?
ahhh so thats why you put those dots.... im soo stupid for not getting that one
COOL
Wow, Matio Mario needs to chill... They got me with the four dots too, but not to the point of angering me! lol... I was convinced it was supposed to be CC but I just couldn't figure it out! Sneaky sneaky!
Now that's what I call a trick.
blaahhh.. lol i've done this before so its not new to me
That was dumb. . . you want us to take every single character literally.
Actually that's not an ellipsis cuz there needs to be a space between every period. . . I just learned that in computers at school.
Actually, that couldn't be the answer, because an elipses is used when something is missing, which means that there is something you're not telling us, and that something was in the spot where you were telling us what to do, so, yeah.
smart. cool. (though i didn't get it, LOL)
lol, nice!
What a dirty trick!
I just want to point out that 0.200 and 0.2 are the same thing.
whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat????????????????????????
