Shouldn't it be Dead, not dead? and what kind of last name is Dead?
In response to you, if I had put two Dead, it would be too easy to figure out. Dead is not a very common last name, I admit, but I have seen it before in a phone book.
Well, my answer was that the train hit a car that had two passengers. Both passengers died but everyone in the train would be fine. The train still wrecked (technically). Too easy.

I thought maybe they were carrying two bodies in cold storage.
or it could have been a freight train and the 2 people on board died. no passengers, assuming no hobos were hitching a ride ;)

i either went with the train was already carrying two dead bodies, or the died without getting injured (eg, had a heart attack at the shock of crashing)
My answer was that there was two dead bodies being transported.
they could have been the only 2 on the train
