Happy me! 1st to comment!
I had to reread it but then a grin spread over my face as I got it! Nice teaser. It made me think but then gave me the ego boost of "getting it"
Thanks. good Job!

it was pretty easy
i didnt get it but i thought it was wicked, great job
i got it! sorta! but ya! good one keep them coming
I thought it was failure is not an option!
Good job. Made me use some reasoning power this morning.
Failure is not an option.
It now comes standard.

I did the exact same thing as Tamip...Excellent teaser
IN THIS REBUS, THERE IS NO PLACE FOR FAILURE. ????
I LIKE YOUR'S BETTER!!!
I like rebuses, but this one seemed a little contrived...just my opinion!
Most Interesting teaser, comments and statement, "Failure is not an option," does it mean that failure had been an option at one time, but wasn't now??? I've always wonder what someone means when they use this. Fine teaser.
It was a good Rebus. I am really bad at figuring them out so I didn't get it. I enjoyed trying though. Great job!!!
Very easy, but then I would say that. Appollo 13 is my favourite true-life film and these were the words famously used by Gene Kranz, flight director when facing the challenge of getting the astronauts home alive after disaster struck.
youre answer.was not part of the rebus..i knew the answer but how you got it makes me wonder...
Awesome teaser.
Excellent - I was thinking 'degrees of sucess' having read it too fast the fisrt time, but then paid attention
This is really clever and well thought out. I like it!!
i am new to braingle and words like rebus will be familiar as i progress - but today it was a new word for me .... looking fwd to more ... :
Could not draw, push or tie also be an option since all 4 words can be used as it relates to a sporting competion .
Pretty easy...
Maybe it would be better if failure were not mentioned directly

I'm no good at "seeing" rebuses, but this one was indeed superb!
I enjoyed this rebus.
To clear up confusion, perhaps the rebus could have read:
A) Success
B) Victory
C) Triumph
D) Accomplishment
-- Failure
E) Achievement
Although, I didn't find it confusing.

Sorry, Scallio, I don't think that "failure" should even be listed. This rebus was for me, just like a few others described. I got it, and a smile spread over my face! THANX!
didn't get it but very clever.
clever! I loved it!
Very clever! Well done!
Well I am so dense this morning. I said failure? Failure isn't an option. I laughed when I clicked on the answer. Good job.
Very clever.
Thank you for this teaser
Thank you for this teaser
I'm like highway101. I got the answer, but didn't know it. Very clever teaser.
This one jumped right out for me (I use this phrase from time to time), but I agree with OCH. When you pick the phrase apart, it is a little silly. "Retreat is not an option" is another common one (and makes a little more sense) Thanks for submitting!
I didn't get it but it was a great teaser!
I relized it after wards. I wasn't thinking clearly I guess, I had to re-read. First time I just rushed through. One of the thoughts I had was that Victory, because then there is the victor and somone else kinda...
(Sorry if that makes no sense, my minds a jumble )
Great teaser though!!!

hmm... good teaser
Ouch! Rebus 10 -jabdr 0. I admire all who 'get' them.
Failure never has been an option with this guy, either! You will either figure the teaser out or die trying to understand the reasonning behind it! Fantastic teaser! Keep them coming!
me likey
I didn't get it, but I haven't done many rebuses
I got it, and I thought it was really easy! I love this rebus, very fun! I'm still figuring out how to post a Rebus I came up with, because my Rebus involves an image. I will figure things out, but if anyone can help me as to how I load an image, then please contact me. I think I need to use Photobucket.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Good one. I didn't get it, but when I read the answer I could have slapped my forehead. Very dull today.
Nice! I did feel it was a little on the easy side, since the word failure was given in the instructions, but .... I'm no good at rebus- uh oh! rebuses? rebi? -rebus teasers, so I didn't mind getting a break on this one. But maybe the "instruction" line would've been better in the Hint instead...
I guess failure is an option, because i couldnt figure that one out!
Oo0o. I likey. I didn't get it but the creativity was great!
Definition of failure=Anybody that didn't get this rebus in 10 seconds.
I thought it was "Nothing to lose," but it was a great teaser.
Thanks doehead--I guess I'm a failure.
It's my new saying, too. I don't think it's working, though.
That rebus was a fail!!!
loves it! didnt get it tho. I was thinking achievement..lol..not thinking right i know.. but people can aim for failure and achieve it. eg. Designed to fail goods etc. But yeah - i was thinking literally wasnt i silly bear
2 EZ
Once the wrong thing occurred to me, I couldn't get to the right one! Under achiever wafted by & stuck even though it didn't fit Really glad for those who got that wonderful smiley feeling!
I loved this one! I'm all for positive thinking. Have a wonderful day everyone.
Sadly, I failed.
I was so sure someone else would give my answer--but they didn't. How about "none of the above?" (smile)
I didn't get it either. Oh well it was ok teaser, it teased me.
Awesome! This was sorta tricky but actually very easy! And it's a great way to boost up some self-esteem ( I think i'll share this with a few people )! This really made my day! Keep it up!
I got the answer, but did not care for the rebus. I wish those that say "It is too easy, and if you did not get it in 10 seconds you are a failure", would just say, "It was too easy for ME." PERIOD! Some things you get quickly that others do not and at other times you do not get it while others do. Don't be such a downer.
@Babe *applause* I am glad someone finally said what I have been thinking all along. I eventually got it, but it took me a few minutes.
This is a very good teaser, but I wish so much that the beginning sentence had been left out. If I could make an analogy ... would you make a joke that includes an explanation to the punchline in the text of the joke? "Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side! You see, the idea is that, you think there is going to be a more specific, interesting reason that the chicken wanted to cross the road, but really the answer is simply that it wanted to get to the other side. It's unexpected." No, you just write the joke itself. It's all subjective of course, but I think this teaser would be much better without the first line. In fact, I always prefer a rebus to include NO words from the answer, so I would probably even replace "Options:" with "Choose one:". I think that is the beauty of a great rebus: using logic and creativity to build up a phrase out of things not contained within it.
I also applaud Babe and Catmom for their response! Thanks for posting. Love the puzzle!
Maxim 70: Failure is not an option - it is mandatory. The option is whether or not to let failure be the last thing you do.
This could have been good, if it didn't mention "failure" in the question. That made it too easy, imo. Maybe that should have been the hint instead of the question.
It could be accomplishment. I've "accomplished" failures more than I'd like to admit
