If you have $15, how many apples can you get altogether?
Hint
Don't forget your leftovers.Answer
22 apples.Firstly, you can get 15 apples.
Trade the wrappers to get 5 more apples.
Trade again and you'll have 1 more apple and 2 leftover wrappers.
Trade the remaining wrappers to get 1 more apple.
15 + 5 + 1 + 1 = 22
You will get 22 apples altogether.

This one took some doing, to remember wrappers and apples! Good puzzle though! Took more than math thinking.
This one was a really good one. Took some thinking to figure it out.
I can only get 15 apples for $15. If I can then return for more apples I would ask others for their wrappers and end up with more than 22 appples.
Ohh I forgot about the 2 leftovers! Great teaser
man I don't kno how 2 count lol I forgot the two left over
Wow,that was hard for me to figure. You must be a math wizard!
I tried to do it quickly and forgot the leftovers also! Oh well. It was fun trying!!!
I was wondering whether to put this under maths or trick leftovers.
sorry for bp, but cancel the "leftovers".
if three wrappers=an apple, then how do you get an apple for two wrappers?
it's because for $15 you get; 15 apples@ $1 per apple. from those 15 apples you get 5 more apples @ 1 apple per 3wrappers. from those 5 apples, you have 5 more wrappers, so you get 1 more free apple @ 1 apple per 3wrappers. so you get one more wrapper you add it with the remaining 2 wrappers she had left over from those 5 wrappers she got from the fre apples, so she gets 1 more free apple.... i think i made the explanation more complicated but that's how it is
Great teaser, first i got 20, then didn't include the last 5 apple's rappers., woo!

Mrs Tubbs bought some square paving tiles.
She bought less than 100 tiles all the same size. She used all of them to pave two square areas of her garden.
Then she changed her mind.
She rearranged them all to make two different squares.
How many tiles did Mrs Tubbs buy?
Thank you. Please send your answers to this brainteaser.
