Represent Love
Riddle
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.Riddle
I represent love.
I'm the daughter of Heaven and Sea.
You may find me in the sky above,
And many envy my beauty.
My love belongs to fire,
But if I said I was true to him
I would be a liar,
But I have no shame for my whims.
My son taught many to love.
To me the only earthly items of worth
Are myrtle, sparrow, swan, and dove.
And no one remembers my birth.

Loved this one, guessed and got it right.
brandon, Venus is Roman Mythology, Aphrodite is her Greek equivelent. that's what the hint meant. Aphrodite could also be a correct answer, along with Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli in Aztec, Kukulcan in Maya, Freyja in the Norse mythos, Ushas in Vedic religion, and many more.
sorry, I meant Bradon

Not my kind of teaser so I did not even try to figure it out. I loved Mythology in school, but this one just did not click. Sorry. Glad you all got it or enjoyed it. That makes for a good teaser.
I have finally learned my lesson and went with my first choice. Venus! I loved Greek and Norse mythology as a child and still do. Nice teaser!!
