Brain Teasers
Unique Me
No two of me are the same, they say.
I am big for some,
And little for others,
Just depending on the place.
Sometimes I am harsh and cold,
Other times soft and sweet.
Some take me for granted,
A few worship me like gold.
In sandy, hot places you will rarely see
Me hanging about the site,
But rather you will find
Me where cool climate is key.

My problem is I love an ability to develop a Teaser; therefore, my comments are always kind. In this case, the answer would have worked better being RAIN. When you say Rarely, you infer that it occurs. Snow never dispatch in the Dessert, nor do people worship Snowflakes like gold, but perhaps I not in the Know. There you go! A wonderful Teaser; I was wrong.
I guessed snow after seeing the first line.
When I was at school (25 years + ago) I was told that a Desert was an area that had less than 250 mm of rain per year. So as you said, snow can fall on a Desert. Antartica.

Yes, technically, megabreath is right. Antarctica is a desert and snow can fall there. And "worship like gold" could be an exaggeration, or maybe there are some people out there who really do worship snow like gold!
Great teaser by the way

u guys must be in college or high school or done cuz u guys are geniuses
That's reelly good, I never would have got it and yes, Antartica is a desert- dosn't matter if it is hot or not. Deserts are places with a small amount of rain annualy- not sure of the specific amount. Great riddle, and I don't know about unique snowflakes but I like snow!
I liked this a lot but the "gold" reference bothered me, and I figured it best to change it before I brought it ti my riddle group. So the new line is, "Some use me in ways quite bold." (like ski jumping, snowball fights)
And I changed "hot sandy" to "true desert," and in the answer, mention snowflakes show up in only one desert place, Antarctica, which makes the word "rarely" more accurate. Hope you don't mind these little refinements.
