100 Yard Dash
Bill and Ted race each other in a 100 yard dash. Bill wins by 10 yards. They decide to race again, but to make things fair Bill starts 10 yards behind Ted. If they both run exactly the same speed as before, who wins the race?
Answer
Bill will win again. In the first race Bill ran 100 yards in the time it took Ted to run 90. Therefore in the second race, once Ted has run 90 yards they will both be side by side. Since Bill runs faster, he will take less time to run the last 10 yards than Ted and will therefore win.Hide Answer Show Answer

dont get me wrong it is a good thought out teaser just the answer should be thought out just a lil bit more ok look if ted is only running 90 yards in the second race and bill is running 100 yards (just for and example it could be ted is running 100 and bill is running 110 but its easier this way)so if it takes bill to run 100 yards by the time that ted runs 90 yards wouldnt they come in at the same time??? so the answer should be it would be a tie right?
Sorry - I guess I didn't make it clear that in the second race Ted is still running a 100 yard race and Bill is running 110 yards. At the point that Ted has run 90 yards (and Bill has run 100), they will be neck and neck. Since Bill runs faster, he will finish the last 10 yards faster than Ted and will win. You're right - If Ted runs 90 yards and Bill runs the 100, they will end in a tie.
