Dots on a Die
What is the greatest number of dots you can see on a six-sided die if you don't use mirrors? Assume you have 20/20 vision.
Hint
Don't say 15.Answer
20. Hold the die so you can see the 6 side dead on. Then, turn it to put the 6 side on its corner. Then, put it between your eyes, and cross your eyes. You should be able to see the 5,4,3, and 2 side.Hide Hint Show Hint Hide Answer Show Answer

cool!
Had me on it for ages. At first I thought it was 6, then I realised it wouldn't be much of a problem if I t was just that. So i tried the tilting hing, but the cross eyed business was difficult
You should specify that one must stare at the dice dead on. The puzzel is vague.
WHAT? what do you mean i must specify?
100% origional!
By the way, "20/20" vision does not mean "perfect" vision. It means average vision, ie you can see at 20 feet what the average person can see at 20 feet. Some people have 20/10 vision or 20/5 vision, which is better than 20/20.
hey, dont critasize Mogmatt16.he did a good job on this teaser.who cares if 20/5 or 20/10 vision is better than 20/20?I SURE DONT
Mistress, I wasn't criticizing, I was simply making a comment to correct a common misperception. I am sorry if you don't want to learn new things. Hopefully, not everyone is like you in this regard.
Nah, it's not so much vague as it requires more abstract thinking; not many people would think to cross their eyes.
A brilliant teaser! And original at that! I get a little dizzy, though, when trying to see the 20 dots :-)
It didn't work...
21. Pick it up, look at the dots, then turn it over, look at the dots...
I got 21, like xdbtcp. The puzzle didn't specify 'at the same time', or alternatively, that the die needed to be stationary...
