Brain Teasers
Unwilling to Kiss
First think of a person who lives in disguise
Who lives in secrets and tells naught but lies
Next tell me what's always the last thing to mend
The middle of middle and the end of the end
And finally give me a sound often heard
During the search of a hard to find word
Now string them together and answer me this
Which creature would you be unwilling to kiss?

Very well written! Did you make that up?
That is one of the best I have heard so far! Had me totaly stumped!
LOL, that one was from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Awesome one though, I liked it.
Yup
You've read Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire havent you, coz the sphinx in the maze sez that!
emmyluzan is right! you stole it like jewels in the night! (I'm a poet, know it?)
i have read goblet of fire and i still couldn't remember the answer. good one.
That took a lot of thought, very good.
Good onne even though u ripped off j.k. Rowling
Thats from Harry potter 4 The Goblet of Fire
If I were rude and obnoxious, I might have said upon reading this teaser, "I am surprised that the editors accepted this riddle. As I am sure you have already heard, this is the riddle that the sphinx asked Harry Potter in order to reach the Triwizard Cup in the center of the maze from the fourth task in the Triwizard Tournament in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" by JK Rowling, COPYRIGHT 2000, Scholastic and Bloomsbury. Now how's that for a run-on sentence? In case you didn't catch my drift, that riddle is copyrighted. Unless you give credit to the author and/or book and/or publisher, you have violated the copyright. Then again, maybe I'm being too harsh, it must have taken lots of hard work and elbow greace to balance the book on your lap and copy a riddle and then press "Submit". Or maybe that is just the cynic in me speaking. ". Of course, I am not that kind of person. Instead, I will say, "I liked that teaser, especially the first time I read it (in a Harry Potter book). Of course, then it was original."
Sorry; in the above it is actually the THIRD not fourth task.
I wish I'd read the comments before I voted!
You plagerized against J.K. Rowling!!!!!!!! She will haunt you when she dies. JK. I loved it the first time i read it.......
I was going to submit this teaser, but you beat me to it! Nice one!
P.S. It is the 4th book, not the third.

oh, sorry. he/she said 3d task, not book.
it's actually fourth book and fourth task. sadly, though, they cut it out of the movie.
Are you allowed to copy that? That is like, word for word!
you guys are full of it. everyone gets riddles from books and magazines. i doubt 1/20 of these aren't from a book.
still... J. K. Rowling ought to be given credit... It is her riddle!!!
J.K. Rowling should have got some credit. This is definitely not an original riddle. It's a good teaser, anyway, even if it was just copied word by word from a book.
(Complimenting the teaser, not the author).

Harry Potter rocks!
Harry Potter rocks!
So agree! This one is gonna go to my faves.
Personally I think J.K. Rowling basicly plagerized when she wrote her series. This specific riddle she probably made up, however several incidents in her books were stolen from the ideas and writings of C.S. Lewis (author of Chronicles of Narnia) and J.R.R. Tolkien (author of Lord Of The Rings) Therefore I have no respect for her writing.
it's very clever, even tho j k rowling wrote it.
One word:
ARCHETYPE
"the original pattern or model from which all things of the same kind are copied or on which they are based"
Basicly, everything that is thought of has been thought before. I don't belive that to be completely true, but close enough

Plagiarizing is against the LAW, editor's, how could you??
Okay, practically everyone knows it's J.K. Rowlings, and if they don't, they'll figure out by reading comments, so i'll just be saying that i'm glad i remembered the answer!
P.S. (sorry about that, i normally don't like writing things like this )
