Brain Teasers
The Two Golfers
Trick
Trick brain teasers appear difficult at first, but they have a trick that makes them really easy.Trick
Tom and Ben were professional golfers and keen rivals. One day during a game, they had each scored 30 when Ben hit a bad shot. Tom immediately added 10 to his own score. Tom then hit a good shot and he had won the game. Why?
Answer
They were playing tennis, not golf! At 30-30 Ben hit a shot out. Tom then served an ace to win the game and match.Hide Answer Show Answer

I thought it was hockey or soccer because you spelled "golfers" as "golers" in the riddle! I thought you meant goalers
I was wondering why they were professional golfers and both had a score of 30.
I agree that i thought as well that they were proffesional goalers not golfers.
Gladiater, if you look at the first sentence it says golers.
I thought it say golphers (how do you spell that animal in Winnie the Pooh)

Gopher?
Oh so it makes a lot more sense if they were professional gophers?
i like it..very good frame of mind whoever wrote this one!
surely the answer is "because tom cheats"
I love TENNIS!!
I say Tom had a much heavier handicap than Ben, and therefore won the match despite having more strokes. Though I don't know what kind of course they would be on to score 30 to 40.
Professional golfers don't have handicaps. Somehow I got it right.
