7 Ingots
If 7 ingots of iron weigh 112 tonnes, 4 ingots of cobalt weigh 104 tonnes and 3 ingots of aluminium weigh 105 tonnes, how heavy are 5 ingots of tin?
Answer
65 tonnes; vowels are worth 3 and consonants are worth 5, added together and then multiplied by the number of ingots. Thus tin has 1 vowel (worth 3) and 2 consonants (worth 10). Added gives 13, then multiplied by 5 ingots = 65.Hide Answer Show Answer

A nice teaser. I wonder who it was that voted this teaser as "easy" and if they in fact worked out the answer, or thought that the answer was easy after reading it. Considering the general standard of Braingle teasers, this is excellent!
Too misleading. What have ingots got to do with it?
yeah the whole ignots this was misleading, so that just made it all the harder.
I tried to remember what tin was made from to come up with a combined weight from the other ingots.
