Answer
A blackberry.When a blackberry first begins, it is green, then it turns white. When it starts to ripen it turns red and then is black when completely ripe.

I think the order's wrong: The flower comes first (it's white) then the green berry...
The berries do get lighter before they turn red but I wouldn't say "white as snow"

I've seen blackberries when they're in that supposed "white" stage, and frequently they're merely a light-pinkish or even yellowish color. This riddle was too literal.
I was thinking about a photo of each of these things.
I think when you have to explain your answer to make people understand, then maybe its a little too hard.
i love blackberries, but how are we supposed to know what color they are in their stages?
once you actually think about it, it's kinda obvious.
