what the heck does palendrome mean?????!!!!!!
a palindrome is a word (or in this case a set of numbers) that are the same backwards and forwards. An example is the word "RACECAR", the word"KAYAK", the name "HANNAH", etc.... Get it?
Boy, that was boringly arbitrary.
Any combination of digits that add up to an even number from 42 to 50 can be substituted in this teaser. There are an infinite number of ways to do this, and that's just to have 101 be the total. Then include all the other palindromes and their equally infinite number of palindromes with that value as their digital sum and...well you get the idea. There's really nothing that special about the number.

There is one "1". two "7"'s, four "8"'s and six "9"'s. That's special. There are many things that are special about many numbers. This is probably more trivia than a mathematical problem.
