Depends on your interpretation of the word "meet. If "meet" meens coming within "visual range", then the one from Paris will be closer to Paris!
its great

I can't believe I spent 15 minutes trying to work out the math before I twigged. Good one.
It could also be argued that when they meet, the one from Paris would be closer. The moment the noses of the planes reach each other , the tail of the one from Paris would be still pointing toward Paris and thus that plane would be closer. Good teaser ! Thanks!
I feel dumb...it took at least two minutes to figure that one out!
WAIT! isn't it a bad thing is planes meet! CRASH! KaBOOOM!!
That was WAY too easy... .
Maybe a bit more challenging next time?

Why are people so specific these days? Yes, the one coming from Paris would be like 30m closer... but that isn't a far distance...and "when they meet" could also mean when they are parallel to each other...
I interpreted "closer to Paris" as "will get to Paris first" (i.e. closer in time) in which case the one headed to Paris is closer.
I thought the same as quintopa
wait a second. If they meet, then they'll crash. Or, you could argue that the one from Paris would be closer. I don't think I need to explain it.
Wow! That was confusing. I didn't get it until 3 minutes.
I thought they would never meet (unless they crashed).
